Mega Brave (メガブレイブ) is one of the two sets that opened the Mega era of the Pokémon TCG in Japan. Released on 1 August 2025, it brings Mega Evolution back to the card game, with Mega Lucario ex as its headline card. Here's the complete list of all 92 cards: main set, Art Rares, Super Rares, Special Art Rares and the Mega Ultra Rare.
It's a Japanese set released alongside its twin, Mega Symphonia (M1S). Each one has 63 cards in the main set plus its own secret rares. In the West, the cards from both sets came out together in Mega Evolution (ME01) on 26 September 2025.

The Grass block opens the set with the Bulbasaur line up to Mega Venusaur ex (the set's Grass Mega), plus Celebi, Exeggcute/Exeggutor and the Seedot family. Mega Venusaur ex is one of the most wanted cards in the main set and gets SR and SAR versions in the secret rares.
Fire type (010-017)
Fire comes in strong: the Vulpix/Ninetales line, Mega Camerupt ex as the Mega headliner, Volcanion and the full Scorbunny line up to Cinderace (which is a Holo). Mega Camerupt ex is one few people saw coming, and its design is a standout.
Water type (018)
Only one Water card in Mega Brave: Corphish. Its evolution Crawdaunt shows up later in the Darkness section (it's a Water/Dark Pokémon). If you're after Water cards, Mega Symphonia has much more to offer.
Psychic type (019)
Another tiny section: just Gimmighoul. The set clearly bets on Fighting and Darkness as its main types.
Fighting type (020-036)
This is the core of the set. 17 Fighting cards, including Mega Lucario ex, the headline card of Mega Brave. Lunatone, Solrock, Marshadow, the Nacli line up to Garganacl... Fighting dominates this set like no other type. Mega Lucario ex gets SR, SAR and MUR (Mega Ultra Rare) versions, and the MUR is the most wanted card in the whole set 💎
Darkness type (037-044)
The set's second main type. Mega Absol ex is the big hit here, one of the best-looking Mega ex in Mega Brave. You also get Yveltal (Holo), Spiritomb, Crawdaunt (the evolution of the Water-type Corphish) and the Nickit/Thievul line. Lots of personality in these 8 cards 🖤
Metal type (045-051)
Metal closes out the Pokémon types with 7 solid cards. Mega Mawile ex is the set's fifth Mega, Steelix and Dialga have Holo versions, and the full Tinkatink line up to Tinkaton adds utility. Gholdengo is here too for Paldea fans.
⚪ Colorless type (052-056)
The Colorless section has 5 cards: Spearow/Fearow, Miltank and Yungoos/Gumshoos. No Mega here, but Spearow and Gumshoos get Art Rare versions in the secret rares, and they're very nice.
Trainers (057-063)
7 Trainers, including Items, Supporters and a Stadium. Lt. Surge's Bargain and Lillie's Determination are the set's two Supporters, and both get SR and SAR versions in the secret rares. Risky Ruins is the set's Stadium. Iron Defender, Premium Power Pro, Fighting Gong and Repel round out the Items.
Art Rares, AR (064-075)
Art Rares are full-art versions with alternate illustrations. Mega Brave has 12 ARs across several types. They're one of the best things about Japanese sets: illustrations worth framing. Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Vulpix and Riolu are the community favorites, and Steelix and Marshadow are impressive too.
Super Rares, SR (076-086)
Super Rares are textured full-art versions. All 5 Mega ex in the set get an SR here, plus 6 Trainers: 3 Items (Premium Power Pro, Fighting Gong, Night Stretcher), 1 Pokémon Tool (Air Balloon) and 2 Supporters (Lt. Surge's Bargain, Lillie's Determination). Night Stretcher, Air Balloon and the two Supporters are in demand because they see competitive play and get premium art 🔥
Special Art Rares, SAR (087-091)
SARs are the most coveted cards in any Japanese set. Mega Brave has 5: three Mega ex (Venusaur, Lucario, Absol) and two Supporters (Lt. Surge and Lillie). Each one has a full-art illustration with an incredible level of detail. The Mega Lucario ex SAR is probably the most expensive card in the set, followed closely by Lillie's Determination SAR 💜
Mega Ultra Rare, MUR (092)
There's only ONE card of this rarity in the whole set, and it's the most exclusive piece in Mega Brave. The Mega Lucario ex MUR is the ultimate chase card: special texture, a unique illustration and a ridiculously low pull rate. Pull one and you've won the TCG lottery 🏆

Mega Evolution Pokémon ex evolve from regular Pokémon in the usual way (Mega Lucario ex from Riolu, Mega Venusaur ex from Ivysaur) and have very high HP with heavy attacks. The catch: when your Mega ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. It's the headline mechanic of the new MEGA series.
