30th Celebration · Pokémon 30th Anniversary
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration is the set for the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released worldwide on 16 September 2026. It's the first time in the game's history that Japan, Korea, China and the West launched an expansion on the same day. In Japanese and Korean it's set M6a, with 103 base cards and 32 secret rares plus the Classic Collection; the English and Spanish set has 191 cards: 128 base, 30 secret rares, 30 Classic and 3 RGB Mew.
Every card in the set is foil, and every pack has one of the 30 Pikachu drawn by 30 different artists, one of them Ken Sugimori recreating his Jungle Pikachu. The cards to look for:
- Futuristic Rare (FUR): the new anniversary rarity, with Mew ex and Mewtwo ex illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN
- 10 Special Art Rare: both Pikachu ex (day and night), Mew ex, Mewtwo ex, Gengar ex, Sylveon ex, Jirachi ex, Greninja ex, Fuecoco ex and Salamence ex
- 20 Art Rare in Japanese (18 Illustration Rares in the Western edition) showing Pokémon at different times of day, from Moltres at dawn to Drifloon over the amusement park
- Classic Collection: 30 historic cards reprinted with a 30 stamp and a gold border, from the Base Set Charizard to the Crystal Type Lugia and Shinji Kanda's Magikarp
- 3 RGB Mew secret cards in the Western edition, plus 8 basic Energy designs by YOSHIROTTEN, with one Energy in every pack
30th Celebration (set code M6a in Japan) has no SR or UR: above the Double Rares come the Art Rares, the Special Art Rares (Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare in English) and the two Futuristic Rares. The 20-pack booster box is the Japanese and Korean one; in English and Spanish the packs come inside the Elite Trainer Box, tins and special collections.
