Pokémon TCG collector · Japanese and Western sets, card galleries and the market
Aitor Domínguez, who signs as A.D, is co-founder of Metamorph Center, the Barcelona-based store for original Pokémon TCG. He started collecting Pokémon cards as a kid, came back to the hobby in 2019 and hasn't stopped since.
Day to day at Metamorph he opens and handles product in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Spanish and English, which gives him a first-hand view of how Japanese sets (M series) map to their Western equivalents (ME series), how rarities differ between languages and how the collector market moves. Outside Pokémon TCG, his other weakness is collecting the Bleach TCG.
What he writes about
His articles on the Metamorph blog cover current Pokémon TCG releases and cards, with the product in hand:
- Full galleries of every set, card by card, in their Japanese and Western versions.
- Guides and comparisons between the Japanese and Western sets (names, dates, rarities).
- News and reveals from the Mega Evolution era and the release calendar.
- Collecting and authenticity: languages, rarities and what to look for in each set.
