Pokémon China released Terastal Gathering (太晶盛聚, CSV9.5C) on 12 June 2026 as its version of the Japanese set Terastal Festival ex (SV8a) and the English Prismatic Evolutions. It was first announced as Blooming Legends. What sets it apart is a second Sylveon ex SAR that only the Chinese edition has, plus a line of Eeveelution products built around the 9 Pokémon (coins, badges, glitter charms, accessories and the big Eevee & Friends box with Espeon ex and Umbreon ex promos).

The China-only Sylveon ex

The headline of the set is this Sylveon ex 234/208 SAR, a card found only in the Chinese edition and illustrated by rika. It's the set's second Sylveon ex SAR: the 233/208 is the same card as the Japanese 212/187 by Cona Nitanda. Pokémon China's own page highlights it, and it explains why the Chinese set has 34 SAR against 33 in Japan. It won't show up in another edition either: Chinese product stays in China, as the Eeveelution Gem Packs did.

That makes it a permanent regional chase: if you collect Eeveelutions, and Sylveon in particular, expect it to get harder to find once the release window closes, as happened with the Gem Packs.

JP vs EN vs CN · three faces of the same Eeveelution set

The Eeveelution set now exists in three regional versions with the same core cards and different numbering and packaging. Here's what changes between Japan, the West and China:

The Terastal Gathering Eeveelution products

Where the set breaks the mold is its line of side products. Alongside the booster came a series of Eeveelution products, several of them blind boxes with normal and secret versions. These are six of them:

  • The 90 coins from the Terastal Gathering Coin Sets 01 · Coin Sets · 10 coins per Pokémon 1 pack from the set + 1 card of the Pokémon on the box + 1 matching metal coin. 10 coin designs per Pokémon, 9 normal and 1 secret gold coin, 90 coins in total across Eevee and its 8 evolutions (you can see them all lined up in the image). The gold one is the chase. 9 normal 1 secret (gold coin)
  • Eevee Collector's Accessory Box, Terastal Gathering 02 · Collector's Accessory Boxes 2 packs + 1 storage box + 1 magnet. One box per Pokémon (the image shows the Eevee one). The pull is the version you get: each box ships with one of three sets at random, normal, hidden or super-hidden, as printed on the front. Normal Hidden Super-hidden
  • Sylveon collectible pin, Terastal Gathering Pin Set 03 · Pin Sets · 81 designs in total 1 pack + 1 random round badge with a design themed on one of the Pokémon (the image shows the Sylveon pin). 8 standard designs + 1 secret per Pokémon (9 Pokémon × 9 = 81 different pins: 72 standard and 9 secret). 8 standard / Pokémon 1 secret / Pokémon
  • The 9 standard Quicksand Charms (one per Eeveelution), Terastal Gathering 04 · Quicksand Card Display Charm Gift Box 2 packs + 1 Pokémon card + 1 display charm with liquid and glitter inside that you can shake (the image shows the 9 standard designs, one per Pokémon). 18 designs in total: 9 standard and 9 secret, and the secret ones come with the Pokémon ex card. 9 standard 9 secret (with the Pokémon ex)
  • Chinese Eeveelution Stellar Tera Pokémon ex cards, Terastal Gathering Gift Box Set 05 · Gift Box Set 8 packs from the set + 1 binder + 1 pack of 64 matching sleeves, in 9 Eeveelution colors. No secret mechanic: a pure starter-collection and gift product, made for opening and building up the Eeveelution cast (the image shows the 9 Pokémon ex everyone is chasing).
  • Terastal Gathering Eevee & Friends Gift Box, the big box with playmat and promos 06 · Eevee & Friends Gift Box The big box of the line (the actual box in the image, with Sylveon on the lid and the 9 Eeveelution silhouettes around it). Contents: 15 packs + a full-art Espeon ex promo (297/SV-P) + a full-art Umbreon ex promo (298/SV-P) + playmat with storage + themed deck box + 64 sleeves + 9 damage counter dice + 1 die + condition markers + magnet. If you're only buying one Terastal Gathering item, this is the one that covers both collecting and play in a single SKU.

The 9 Japanese artworks from the base set · Terastal Festival ex (SV8a)

The three regional versions (JP, EN, CN) share the same core chase cards: the full Eeveelution cast as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, with Umbreon ex SAR 217/187 and Sylveon ex SAR 212/187 (Cona Nitanda) at the top. In the Chinese set they carry other numbers (Umbreon ex 239/208, Sylveon ex 233/208). Here are the 9 Japanese SAR artworks from the original Terastal Festival ex set, in collector number order. Timeline · the Eeveelution cycle in the Pokémon TCG

The set makes more sense next to the two earlier releases with the same Eeveelution cast:

6 Dec 2024
Terastal Festival ex (SV8a) · Japan
A Japanese set of 237 cards (187 + 12 SR + 33 SAR + 5 UR). It brings the full Eeveelution cast as Stellar Tera Pokémon ex (Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon and Sylveon ex). Top chases: Umbreon ex SAR 217/187 and Sylveon ex SAR 212/187 (Cona Nitanda).
17 Jan 2025
Prismatic Evolutions · International
The Western version of SV8a. Same Eeveelution cast, different numbering (131 cards plus secret rares). Sylveon ex 156/131 is one of its Special Illustration Rares, and short supply pushed aftermarket prices up.
12 Jun 2026
Terastal Gathering · China
The Simplified Chinese version (太晶盛聚, CSV9.5C). 259 cards (208 + 12 SR + 34 SAR + 5 UR), the same chase cards as the base set + a second Sylveon ex SAR (234, by rika) that only this edition has + its own Eeveelution products (Coin Sets, Accessory Boxes, Pin Sets, Quicksand Charm, Gift Box, Eevee & Friends Gift Box).

Frequently asked questions

What is Terastal Gathering and how does it relate to Terastal Festival ex?

Terastal Gathering (太晶盛聚, CSV9.5C) is the Simplified Chinese counterpart of the Japanese set Terastal Festival ex (SV8a), released in December 2024, and the English Prismatic Evolutions, released in January 2025. Pokémon China released it on 12 June 2026 with 259 cards (208 + 51 secret rares), the same Eeveelution cast and Poké Ball and Master Ball reverse holos, plus a second Sylveon ex SAR and a line of Eeveelution products that don't exist in JP or EN.

Is the Chinese Sylveon ex in any other edition?

No. Sylveon ex SAR 234/208, illustrated by rika, only exists in the Chinese edition; Terastal Festival ex and Prismatic Evolutions have a single Sylveon ex SAR. Chinese product isn't distributed in the West, just like the Eeveelution Gem Packs, so treat it as a permanent regional exclusive.

Who illustrated the Sylveon ex in the original set (Terastal Festival ex) and in the Chinese one?

The Sylveon ex 212/187 SAR from the Japanese set (156/131 in the English Prismatic Evolutions, 233/208 in the Chinese one) is by Cona Nitanda. The China-only card from Terastal Gathering is a different one: Sylveon ex 234/208 SAR illustrated by rika.

Will Terastal Gathering be released in Europe?

No European release is planned: it's Chinese-channel product with no Western distribution. The way to get it is through shops that import Asian sets.

Are the cards legal at official tournaments?

No. Chinese cards (like Korean or Taiwanese ones) aren't legal at international tournaments. For international Standard, the equivalent is the English Prismatic Evolutions.

Is the Eevee & Friends Gift Box worth it?

If you want the whole line and a single SKU that covers playmat + promos + accessories + packs, it's the best-value box. The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex promos (297 and 298/SV-P) are the main draw. If you're only buying one Chinese Eeveelution product, it's the first one we'd put in the cart.

When will the West get something similar?

Nothing has been announced. Pokémon International closed its Eeveelution window with Prismatic Evolutions in early 2025. Most likely Terastal Gathering will be the only product of its kind until Eevee gets its turn again in two or three generations.

Editorial notes: the set was renamed before release. Early reports in the West used a provisional name, and it came out as Terastal Gathering (太晶盛聚, CSV9.5C). Release date, pack contents and the second Sylveon ex SAR come from Pokémon China's official page (25 May 2026); the set list and numbering come from the Chinese card database.
