About the Bleach Vol.1 (UA08BT) set
UA08BT splits its 100 playable cards into three colors, one per side: 33 yellow for the Wandenreich (Yhwach, Jugram Haschwalth, As Nodt, Bambietta Basterbine and the rest of the Sternritter), 34 green for the Gotei 13 (Yamamoto, Kenpachi Zaraki, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Yachiru Unohana) and 33 purple for Ichigo and his allies, with Rukia, Renji, Byakuya and the Royal Guard. Blue didn't exist in BLEACH yet: Bandai added it in Vol.2.
The cards carry the code UA08BT/BLC-1 and mix freely with the rest of BLEACH: Vol.2 (EX07BT), the New Card Selection (UA04NC), Vol.3 (EX15BT) and the Advanced Deck (UA01DC) share the same series code, so you can build a legal deck with cards from all of them.
Why the Japanese version?
- It's the original Bandai Japan edition, a year ahead of the English one (UE01BT, 4 October 2024)
- 8-card packs with their own breakdown: the English box has 12 cards per pack and splits the rarities differently (17 R and 34 C against 18 R and 35 C), so the two aren't equivalent
- It's BLEACH's founding set in the game and the one that leans hardest on the Wandenreich: 33 of its 100 cards are yellow, and it's the only BLEACH product with As Nodt
- These are Japanese cards: they are not legal in official tournaments in Europe or the Americas.
