🐉 Mega Dream ex (M2a) is the High Class Pack of the Mega Evolution era: 250 cards, 10-card packs and a single MUR, Mega Dragonite ex (250/193). It came out in Japan on 28 November 2025 and debuted a new rarity, MA (Mega Attack Rare).
What's in the Mega Dream ex Japanese Booster Box?
Official The Pokémon Company product, factory sealed:
- 10 booster packs per box
- 10 cards per pack (100 cards in total)
- 250-card set list: 193 main cards and 57 secret rares (20 AR, 9 SR, 10 MA, 17 SAR and 1 MUR)
- Chase cards:
- Gold Mega Dragonite ex MUR (250/193)
- 17 SARs, including Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Gengar ex and Pikachu ex
- 10 MAs, special illustrations of Mega Evolutions unleashing their attacks, such as Mega Charizard X ex and Mega Gengar ex
- N's Zekrom AR (210/193)
About the Mega Dream ex (M2a) set
It's the 2025 High Class Pack, the special reprint set Japan puts out every year (2024's was Terastal Festival ex). Mega Dream ex brings back strong cards from previous seasons alongside new Mega Evolutions like Mega Dragonite ex, Mega Froslass ex and Mega Eelektross ex, plus support for N's Pokémon and Team Rocket's Pokémon decks.
It also has mirror cards with Poké Ball and Energy symbol patterns. Its cards reached the West on 30 January 2026 inside Ascended Heroes, a bigger expansion with more than 290 cards.
Why the Japanese version?
- Ascended Heroes isn't sold in booster boxes. Its packs only come inside special products, so if you want a sealed box of this set, it's the Japanese one.
- Mega Dream ex is a standalone 250-card set. In English, its cards are spread across Ascended Heroes alongside others.
- It came out two months earlier: 28 November 2025 in Japan, 30 January 2026 in the West.
