Abyss Eye continúa la línea narrativa de la era Megaevolución y gira en torno a Mega Darkrai ex, con un enfoque visual oscuro y onírico inspirado en el contenido descargable Mega Dimensión de Pokémon Leyendas: Z-A. La expansión se equipara a Pitch Black (Oscuridad Absoluta en español), que llega meses después a Occidente, por lo que abrir la versión coreana es una de las formas más rápidas y económicas de acceder al pool de cartas antes de su salida global.
